2024-2025
Over the past year, the Emory Healthy Brain Study worked to identify biomarkers for Alzheimer’s and other dementias. In 2024, we reached key milestones and began analyzing participant data. Explore our findings, meet the research team, and learn about those who made it possible.
2023-2024
2023 was a remarkable year for the Emory Healthy Brain Study. We were able to reach several milestones. Learn about the work our researchers were able to accomplish with the help of our dedicated participants over the course of the past year.
2021 - 2022
It has been a big year for the Emory Healthy Brain Study! We are more than halfway to the study recruitment goal, we welcomed new team members, and we have partnered with other Emory programs to bring more engagement and resources to study participants.
2020 - 2021
COVID-19 changed how we collected data, but research continued safely. In 2021, we secured new federal funding from the National Institute on Aging and completed over 1,000 return visits. Learn more about our new processes, research, and the people who made it happen.
2018 - 2019
Our fight against Alzheimer’s disease continues to gain momentum as more qualified participants from the Emory Healthy Aging Study decide to take action and support our efforts. We continue to see new baseline visits and early study participants have begun returning for their 2-year follow-up visits.
2017 - 2018
Our efforts to discover Alzheimer’s biomarkers is off to a strong start. Qualified participants of the Emory Healthy Aging Study started taking the next steps to support our fight against Alzheimer’s disease with more than 800 people completing a study visit at the Emory Brain Health Center.
